Stepanida Aleksandrovna Lupach is a bearer of an old bread tradition from the Belarusian Polesye of the Brest region. Now she lives in the village of Derkovshchina, Vitebsk region, where I visited her in June 2018. We baked her famous bread together, and I was personally convinced that it is truly unique in its taste and aroma, thanks to a very interesting technology for its preparation, which has remained untouched for the last 200 years or more.
