Famines were commonplace in India before the British arrived. 1769 - The Great Bengal Famine - 10million+ dead, The start of the famine has been attributed to a failed monsoon in 1769 that caused widespread drought and two consecutive failed rice crops. Poor infrastructure, devastation from war contributed, some argue that the tax system employed by the east India company contributed to a degree, by not effectively providing aid, but they didn’t cause the famine. 1783 - The Chalisa Famine - 11 million dead, crop failure as a result of extreme weather. ___________________________________________ Голод был обычным явлением в Индии до прибытия англичан. 1769 - Великий Бенгальский голод - погибло более 10 миллионов человек. Начало голода было приписано неудавшемуся муссону в 1769 году, который вызвал повсеместную засуху и два подряд неурожая риса. Плохая инфраструктура, разруха от войны способствовали этому, некоторые утверждают, что налоговая система, используемая восточно-индийской компанией, в определенной степени способствовала, не оказывая эффективной помощи, но не вызвала голод. 1783 - Голод Чалисы - 11 миллионов погибших, неурожай в результате экстремальной погоды.

    Korean history mentioned several starvation incidents over drought years.
    That is why they strived to get alternate food around. Famine surviving foods.
    Some descriptions are there, but no graphic one.
    Camera caught famines are from African nations, but Indian famine hit me first time.
    Myself got through family starvations incidents a few far between.

    В истории Кореи упоминается несколько случаев голодной смерти в засушливые годы. Вот почему они стремились получить альтернативную еду. Пища, выживающая при голоде. Некоторые описания есть, но нет графических.
    На камеру засняты голодоморы из африканских стран, но индийский голод поразил меня впервые.
    Я сам пережил несколько инцидентов, связанных с голодом в семье.

Samurai belongs to ruling class over Edo era, permissive killing common people when something went wrong in the sense of moral obligations. Say they got jurisdictional power beheading one who killed his own parent. His head put on cart going around community for people to watch it and feel justice done at samurai hand.
